🎵 Custom sounds

Load your own recordings (e.g. recorded with your phone at the park) or freely licensed sounds (e.g. CC0 from freesound.org). Please do not use audio ripped from other people's videos – it is protected by copyright. Pitch and volume follow speed, lift, brakes etc. automatically; empty categories are still synthesised.

Loading a folder: name the files by category – roll.wav, roll_slow.wav, lift.wav, arb1.wav, arb2.wav, brake.wav, launch.wav, wind.wav, scream1.mp3, scream2.mp3, station.ogg, dispatch.wav. Loops (roll, lift, wind …) should repeat without clicks.

★ Example coasters

Simplified recreations of famous coasters from publicly known key data (height, speed, sequence of elements) – not an exact track plan. Some follow the real layout from OpenStreetMap. Fully editable, movable and rotatable afterwards.

The example is built as an additional coaster at the current location – where you are looking right now.

How to build a roller coaster

  1. Choose a location (📍 top left) – terrain, aerial imagery, buildings and forests are loaded live.
  2. + New – place the station on the terrain with the mouse, rotate with Q/E or the mouse wheel, click to confirm.
  3. Pick an element on the left (lift hill, drop, loop …). A translucent preview appears at the end of the track together with the predicted G-forces. Adjust the sliders, add it with Enter. Elements that would cross existing track are refused.
  4. ⟲ Close circuit leads the track back to the station with plain track – the train needs enough momentum for that.
  5. Several coasters: + New builds another coaster, the previous one stays. Clicking a coaster in the terrain or in the list "Coasters in the park" selects it, 🗑 deletes it.
  6. Supports (right, under "View"): single column or A-frame, also per support. Supports never intrude into the clearance envelope – otherwise an overhang is built. If the track goes underground, a lit tunnel is created automatically.
  7. Fine-tuning: enable "Edit control points", click a point, move it with the arrows, change bank and section type.
  8. 🎢 Ride: Space = dispatch, 1–5 cameras, drag the mouse = look around, Esc back. The bar at the bottom jumps to any point of the ride (PgUp/PgDn = previous/next element).
  9. 🔧 Mechanic: operate the ride from a control panel, program the PLC (Structured Text / Ladder), run several trains with block safety and find faults.

Tips: "Auto" values adapt to the speed (e.g. hill length from the desired airtime, bank of curves). The force view colours the track by G-force. Good values: vertical −1 … 4.5 G, lateral < 1.5 G.

Mouse: left drag = pan the terrain · right drag = orbit around the point under the mouse · wheel = zoom to the mouse · double-click = fly there · WASD/arrows move, PgUp/PgDn up/down. Keyboard: Ctrl+Z/Ctrl+Y undo/redo, Del remove last piece.
